Tollywood’s bestowed director SS Rajamouli made Indian movie “Baahubali – The Beginning” is reigning at box offices still after completing successful five weeks of its launch. The Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati starring movie has created a new feat for films with its sixth week at the worldwide box office.Baahubali 6th Weekend Box Office Collection Grosses Rs 577 crore in 38 Days.
Despite entering into the sixth week losing major screens to the upcoming movies of other languages the multilingual Telugu movie Baahubali is yet ruling the box office. Mangum opus movie by the bestowed director of Tollywood “Baahubali – The Beginning” is giving a tough fight for other films in its sixth week even after losing screens to Hindi movies “Brothers” and “Gour Hari Dastaan”, Tamil films “Vaalu” and “Vauvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga”, Telugu flicks “Cinema Chupista Maava” and “Upendra 2″ and Kannada movie “Uppi 2″ and “Buguri”.
“Baahubali – The Beginning” Tamil and Malayalam versions box office collections have completely slowed down due to the new releases of films by the domestic movie industry. On the other hand “Baahubali – The Beginning” is doing a great business at the some theaters in Telugu and Hindi amid its sixth weekend.
Theatres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are still running successful at houseful while on considering the business reports of box office compared to the fifth-weekend collection there is a 50% drop in its business.
Prabhas-Rana Daggubati starrer “Baahubali – The Beginning” has done a business of Rs 12 crore gross from its four versions at the worldwide box office in its sixth weekend. Gross box office collection of the movie “Baahubali – The Beginning” in its 38 days screening has collected Rs 577 crore.
While this was just a first part of the two-part period drama movie which was made up with just Rs 120 crore of budget and yet the second part has to be made. The worldwide distribution rights of the movie “Baahubali – The Beginning” was sold for a record-breaking price of Rs 140 crore where it brings great joy for its makers and producers.
The movie has been successful in fetching 150% profits for the distributors turning out to be one of the biggest money spinners of Indian cinema. It is the first film outside Bollywood to attain this rare feat which has now become third all-time highest grosser taking down the lifetime collection record of Aamir Khan’s “Dhoom 3″.
Box office experts are speculating that there are chances for the movie to make its way to the second highest grossing movie as the movie is still doing well in theaters. Hence, we can claim that still there is the threat for the Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” which has so far collected Rs 600 crore in its 31-day screening globally.
